Forno is always a 10/10. Just go and experience for yourself. You won't be disappointed with the food or service. Although I will say sometimes the environment can get a bit loud. I have been going for years. Their happy hour is top notch too!

I love that you can make a reservation for Forno on the OpenTable app!! My friend and I went to brunch here and had a fantastic time! Our server was 10/10, and was so attentive and helpful! The restaurant was gorgeous, bright, and beautiful! I got the biscuits and gravy for brunch and it was some of the best I've ever had!! Entrées were reasonably priced, most $10-$20, but the quality is off the charts!! Would definitely recommend!

Excellent food. I hope ghost recommend the Arancini and the Midwest pizza. Overall would say you can't go wrong. It is a bit over priced in my opinion but the ambiance is excellent. The service is average. Good for a date night or to get drinks with friends!

This resto provides a good vibe. The decor & ambiance creates a welcoming atmosphere. I ordered a new menu: convit chicken marsala. I wish I took a picture! The convit chicken cooked perfectly; nice & crispy. Risotto was a bit mushy. Mushrooms sauce is just perfect & the right amount. The whole combination is like a party in your mouth! Presentation is good too. Definitely a MUST try!! Don't remember our server but he is on the ball & engaging. We are a party of 12. He's really tall, very personable & claim that he's allergic to baby.

Scallops: these were good. The butter sauce with capers was very tasty. A good recommendation to any seafood fans. Crispy Rice: incredibly good. The rice wasn't too firm and the tuna was clean. Ahi Tuna Tacos: my only sentiment is unneeded if you're getting the crispy rice. Steamed Mussels: hard pass on these. Just not worth it. The sauce is not exciting and quite bland. Mushroom Risotto: a must get for the table. Not overwhelmingly mushroom either. Very quality. Prosciutto Pizza: surprisingly not amazing. For a pizza place, I was expecting this to be incredible and it wasn't. Chicken Parmesan: the red/white sauce was the best part of this dish. Not the best but not the worst. The service was really strong. Everything was quick and the server remembered the entire order without any mistakes.

The ambiance in this place is so incredible. The lighting, the table placement, the music. All around love the vibe. I've only had a few things from the menu but what I've had has been very tasty and well prepared. Light yet filling. They have a nice wine and draft selection. I like the 6oz or 9oz pour option! I've not had any cocktails but what I've seen looked delicious. My only reason for a 4 star is first, we waited at the bar for at least 10 minutes with no acknowledgment before we walked to the opposite bar by the kitchen. There we were served immediately. While our serve was very kind she was not very knowledgeable about the menu. Not a deal breaker, just the only reason for not giving 5 stars.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Forno Kitchen and Bar in Columbus, Ohio, while in town for a convention. The group I was with wanted to celebrate with a dinner at the restaurant. Although the reservation was initially made for a smaller group, about 35 of us ended up attending to dine and celebrate together. The hostess, Sydney, was incredibly accommodating and did a wonderful job of creating additional space for the rest of the attendees, allowing us all to dine together. I particularly enjoyed the private space to the left of the bar with its mirrors and booths. It's a unique area that I'd highly recommend for anyone looking to host a gathering of around 15 people. Josh was our server, and he did an outstanding job. He was kind, humorous, and handled our group with great personality. Meanwhile, Christina managed the original section of our party, which had over 20 people. Everyone left satisfied and happy with both the service and their meals. Speaking of meals, I ordered the baked lobster rotini, which had an ample amount of lobster pieces. I also tried the meatballs, Brussels sprouts, and garlic shrimp, all of which were very good. The breading on the garlic shrimp was particularly enjoyable, and the Brussels sprouts were cooked to perfection--not overly fried, but just right. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely recommend Forno Kitchen and Bar for both the food and the excellent service.

After almost 7 years and too many visits to count, it's time to update my Yelp review for the famous Forno, one of the most popular restaurants in the Short North. And, I'm pleased to share that over the years they have earned another star in my honest opinion. Here's why! While making a reservation is almost always a must, it's easy to do online. However, you may get lucky and find a spot at the bar if you randomly pop in. That's always a really great time. There's televisions, the staff is attentive and fun, you can kinda see into the kitchen, and there's cool mood lighting. But, if getting a table is more your style, they have plenty of seating options. I like being on the side that faces Buttles because of all the natural light and people watching. I don't think the menu has changed very much. I normally come for brunch with my girlfriends or happy hour. Brunch is very meat heavy unless you enjoy sweet options like French toast, there's two options of those available. I usually get their avocado toast, which is really good. Bread, avocado, creamy goat cheese, tomatoes and pickled shallots. Yum! As for happy hour (M-F, 4-6pm), they have half priced food items and drinks. You can't go wrong with the arancini or any one of their pizzas. I always grab a glass of wine but they have cocktail and beer options as well. I almost always get a caesar salad too. If you're full sending your experience, you have to get an order of their spiked strawberries. They won't get you buzzed but they come with whipped cream on top and everybody loves them. So, what have we learned over the last 7ish years? They are consistent when it comes to their delicious food and friendly service. Always make a reservation unless you're randomly popping in. It's one of the best happy hours in the neighborhood.
